Alex Spiteri-Gingell

Currently reading for an MA in Translation and Interpretation studies, and a lawyer by profession who has specialised in Intellectual Property and Information Technology law, Dr. Spiteri-Gingell has considerable translation experience as an Official Reviser for the translation of EU texts into Maltese.

He also provides translation and revision services to the European Central Bank and the EU Centre de Traductions in Luxembourg.

Within TranScripta he adopts a hands-on approach, acting as reviser and consultant on legal texts.

His languages are Maltese, English, French and Italian.

Chris Bezzina

Graduated in education at the University of Malta, Mr. Bezzina has been working full-time in translations since 2001. His clients include the Ministry of Justice of Malta, the Maltese translation and Lawdrafting Unit, the European Central Bank and various other international agencies.

His areas of specialisation are technical and mechanical texts, banking and finance, agriculture and fisheries. He has been building glossaries in these areas. Within Transcripta, he uses his eye for detail to revise texts and assesses the quality of the translations worked by the company.

His languages are Maltese, English, Italian, and French. Attended courses on various translation software including Trados (in Frankfurt, August 2004) and SDLX (in September 2004 and in March 2005)

Christopher Farrugia

Christopher Farrugia

Christopher Farrugia studied Medical Laboratory Science and continued his studies in Forensic Science at postgraduate level at the University of Strathclyde after having being awarded a UNESCO fellowship and later a Goverment of Malta scholarship. He currently also acts as a Consultant Forensic Scientist with Synergene Profiling Ltd.

He is an accomplished translator and has been in the business for over five years. His main areas of expertise are scientific, medical and pharmaceutical translations.

He is proficient in Maltese, English and Italian.

Nicolette Bezzina

Graduated in psychology and communications at the University of Malta, has been working full-time on translations since 2002. Subsequently worked as course coordinator and trainer with the Employment and Training Corporation, Malta.

Her languages are Maltese, English Italian and French.
